Open Call: groepsexpo RE:NORM
Fameus zoekt beeldende kunstenaars! Ben je schilder, videokunstenaar, tekenaar, fotograaf, street artist, beeldhouwer of interdisciplinair kunstenaar? Maak je films, installaties of illustraties en wil je graag samen met anderen tentoonstellen? Schrijf je dan nu in voor deze groepsexpo.
Fameus is een plek voor elke kunstenaar ongeacht je niveau of ambitie. Deelname aan de groepsexpo is een kans om samen met andere kunstenaars ervaring op te doen en te groeien als beeldend kunstenaar. We ondersteunen je graag doorheen het proces door je o.a. te helpen bij het presenteren van je werk aan een jury, ophangsystemen te kiezen voor je werk en een enthousiast publiek bijeen te brengen tijdens de expo.
Fameus trekt voor deze groepsexpo naar Merskem! De groepsexpo RE:NORM is een samenwerking tussen Fameus, District Merksem, Merksemdok en Bibpark Merksem.
Presenteer één werk van max. 2 jaar oud dat past binnen het onderstaande thema.
Naam van de expo: RE:NORM
Thema van de expo: *De norm uitdagen* – een krachtige, creatieve en empathische weerstand.
De expo weerspiegelt de gedeelde ambitie van de deelnemende kunstenaars om de kunstwereld en daarbuiten uit te dagen, door een ruimte te creëren waar uiteenlopende ideeën, gevoelens en culturen buiten of binnen bestaande structuren groeien. Door middel van kunst worden de leden van de expo kritische boodschappers - ze delen standpunten die normen in twijfel trekken, herhaling uitdagen en veerkracht weerspiegelen. Wat is de norm en welke norm daag jij uit?

Vrijetijdsartiesten, kunststudenten en beginnende kunstenaars actief in Antwerpen.
Curatoren
De tentoonstelling wordt gecureerd door het Lerend Netwerk van Fameus. Een groep talentvolle kunstenaars organiseert voor het derde jaar op rij een groepsexpo samen.

Jury
Na inschrijving word je uitgenodigd voor een jurymoment op zondag 13 april 2025 bij Fameus, waar een professionele jury samen met het Lerend Netwerk zal beslissen of je werk mee wordt opgenomen in de tentoonstelling. Je krijgt tijdens het jurymoment waardevolle feedback over je werk.
De juryleden worden nog aangekondigd.
Timing
Er zal een infomoment plaatsvinden over de expo op dinsdag 11 maart 2025 om 18u30 in MerksemDOK.
De deadline voor de open call is maandag 31 maart 2025.
Het selectiemoment vindt plaats op zondag 13 april 2025.
De opbouw van de expo is van maandag 12 tot donderdag 15 mei 2025.
De expo opent op vrijdag 16 mei 2024 en loopt tot zaterdag 24 mei 2025.

Fameus is Looking for Visual Artists!
Are you a painter, video artist, illustrator, photographer, street artist, sculptor, or interdisciplinary artist? Do you create films, installations, or illustrations and want to exhibit your work with others? Then sign up now for this group exhibition!
Fameus is a place for every artist, regardless of skill level or ambition. Participating in the group exhibition is a great opportunity to gain experience and grow as a visual artist alongside others. We support you throughout the process, helping you present your work to a jury, choose the right hanging systems, and attract an enthusiastic audience during the exhibition.
Fameus is heading to Merskem for this group expo! The group exhibition RE:NORM is a collaboration between Fameus, District Merksem, Merksemdok and Bibpark Merksem.
Submit one artwork no older than two years that fits within the theme outlined below.

Theme of the expo: *Challenging the norm* - a powerful, creative and empathetic resistance.
The expo reflects the participating artists' shared ambition to challenge the art world and beyond, by creating a space where diverse ideas, feelings and cultures grow outside or within existing structures. Through art, members of the expo become critical messengers - sharing views that challenge norms, challenge repetition and reflect resilience. What is the norm and which norm do you challenge?

Leisure artists, art students, and emerging artists based in Antwerp.

The exhibition is curated by the Learning Network of Fameus, a group of talented artists organizing a group exhibition for the third year in a row.

Jury
After signing up, you will be invited to a jury session on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Fameus. A professional jury, together with the Learning Network, will decide whether your work will be included in the exhibition. You will receive valuable feedback on your work during this session.
The jury members will be announced soon.
